Stage 2 - Etten-leur

On Thursday, October 16, Etten-Leur will be the setting for a spectacular 15-kilometer individual time trial. The first rider leaves at 13:30 PM from Parklaan, right next to the cultural center De Nobelaer. The last rider starts at 4:15 PM, after which the battle against the clock reaches its climax in the heart of the city center.

The route passes through the southern part of Etten-Leur, cutting across the Brabant landscape that once inspired Vincent van Gogh. Riders speed past open meadows, winding polder roads, and beautiful forested areas, where the play of light and color still recalls Van Gogh’s paintings. The time trial then returns to the city, where the finish line awaits amid lively terraces and historic buildings.

One of the highlights in the center is the Van Gogh Church with the new Van Gogh Experience, and nearby is the monumental Oude Raadhuis, soon to house the National Cycling Museum. The iconic Moeierboom, over 350 years old and once voted the most beautiful tree in the Netherlands, forms the city’s green centerpiece.

The day starts at 10:00 AM with the Bike Festival on the marked in Etten-Leur, where visitors can enjoy activities, music, and a big screen showing live race coverage.
