Dordrecht
Stage 1 - Dordrecht
On Wednesday, October 15, Dordrecht transforms into the cycling heart of the Netherlands. The day begins at Statenplein, where the Bike Festival kicks off at 10:00 AM. Here you’ll find a lively atmosphere, activities, and a big screen to watch the race live. Around 12:30 PM, it’s time for the team presentation – the perfect moment to see your favorite riders up close.
At 1:45 PM, the starting gun sounds at Statenplein. The riders first take a scenic lap through the historic city center and cross the river to Zwijndrecht at 1:59 PM. Shortly after, at 2:08 PM, they pass Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht. In the expansive Alblasserwaard, the official start of the race takes place at 2:20 PM.
Next, a stunning route awaits: Alblasserdam – Oud-Alblas – Nieuw-Lekkerland – Kinderdijk. This loop is ridden no less than five times, giving you plenty of opportunities to see the riders zoom past. Kinderdijk is an iconic highlight with its windmills and waterways, while Alblasserdam invites for a stop at a cozy terrace. The Raadhuisplein is also recommended: the riders pass here five times, just like at the feeding zone on Zijdeweg in Oud-Alblas, where you can witness teamwork in action.
Around 4:45 PM, the excitement reaches its peak as the peloton climbs the Zwijndrecht Bridge for the final sprint to the finish – the ultimate spot for the grand finale!
