Next week, on October 14, the very first edition of the NIBC Tour of Holland will kick off. With nineteen participating teams, the starting field has now been finalized. At the last minute, Team Intermarché-Wanty has taken the place of Team NL, further strengthening the international character of the race.

Preparations for this new six-day cycling race are proceeding according to plan, and everyone is getting ready for the launch of a new cycling classic.

On Monday, October 13, the event will begin with the Dutch Départ Dinner for invited guests. On Tuesday, October 14, the official opening ceremony and team presentation will take place at the Sportcampus in The Hague. Later that evening, the riders will race the prologue around The Hague’s Zuiderpark – the first ever evening stage in a Dutch multi-day race.

After the prologue, the peloton moves to Dordrecht, where the first stage starts on Wednesday. The race then continues via Etten-Leur (time trial), Watersley in Limburg, the VAM Mountain in Drenthe, and concludes on Sunday, October 19, in Arnhem, where the overall winner will be celebrated.
