Dikke Banden Races
Rabo Dikke Banden Races - The Hague

In the run-up to the NIBC Tour of Holland, four neighborhoods in The Hague will host free Dikke Banden Races for children aged 2 to 12 years old. Kids race against peers on any bike that is not a road bike – from balance bikes to tricycles, and from mountain bikes to regular city bikes. (Fatbikes are not allowed.) Every participant receives a shirt and a medal.
The Rabo Dikke Banden Races are free cycling competitions where children participate on their own bike. Allowed bikes include regular (city) bikes, mountain bikes, or cross bikes with a minimum tire width of 28 millimeters. Road bikes and bikes with clip-in pedals are not permitted. Participants are divided into different age categories, ranging from 2–4 years (balance bikes) up to 11–12 years.
PROGRAM
- 16:30 – Balance Bike Race (ages 2–4)
- 16:45 – Dikke Banden Race (ages 5–6)
- 17:00 – Dikke Banden Race (ages 7–8)
- 17:15 – Dikke Banden Race (ages 9–10)
- 17:30 – Dikke Banden Race (ages 11–12)
ORGANIZATION
This Rabo Dikke Banden Race is organized by Ready2Race.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This Rabo Dikke Banden Race is part of the NIBC Tour of Holland. It will take place on a circuit in Zuiderpark (opposite the entrance of the Sportcampus). Registration will open soon.
